West Ham United and AFC Bournemouth are currently involved in a head-to-head battle to secure the services of Reading winger Paolo Hurtado, according to reports from A Bola.
After struggling for regular minutes on the pitch at Reading, Hurtado joined VitoriaGuimaraes on loan during the summer and the Peruvian international has been rejuvenated in Portugal, scoring six goals and providing three assists in 27 appearances.
Hurtado is clearly surplus to requirements with the Royals despite his fine form and now reports from Portugal have claimed that Premier League pair West Ham and the Cherries are both lining up a shock move to sign the £2million-rated attacker in the summer window.
