Dunfermline Athletic boss Jim Jefferies is convinced David Weir will prove a great Everton coach.
He was at Falkirk in 1992 just after Weir had returned from playing college football in USA, and Jefferies gave him a chance from which he never looked back.
Jefferies told the Liverpool Echo: "I can certainly see him being a successful coach and I bet he'd love to work with Steven Naismith again.
"I know when I spoke to Davie he thinks highly of Steven and that will be a big pull.
"Working with men like big Davie would benefit any player, young or old. He's a perfect example."
